Since 1998 OSP have specialized in audio editing and have established a loyal client base in this area. Editing requires speed, precision and a good understanding of music structure, so at OSP you can trust your project into our care. Head engineer and owner Jacko Andrews is a seasoned musician with many years of live and studio experience under his belt. He has toured with bands and spent many years playing for orchestras. He can many instruments and sight read music - all vital skills when working with clients on musical projects. Referred to as a "Project Studio", our editing studio is not geared up for bands recording live on site, nor do we have a rehearsal room. It is however the ideal environment for music composition and recording, and we cater for singer songwriters, vocalists, guitarists and solo artists, musicians, vocalists, voice-overs, and almost every other type of studio audio recording project. Whether you need to record a demo, a vocal track, or an entire album, OSP is the recording studio where your project will receive complete and personal attention from conception through final completion. For you convenience we offer a large capacity on-line server for customers to upload their material to be edited. This saves time lost on traveling to the studio. Please talk to us about this option when booking your project time.

D&R Triton World-class professional mixing console. When this was brought new in 1991 it was the only one in New Zealand and quite a draw card for the studio. It is a fully modular 32 channel in-line format large scale recording console. It features 12 stereo returns, 10 aux sends, 16 subgroups and full monitoring submixes on every channel. |
Processing equipment.
While we typically use very little processing on mixes, it is handy having equipment available in case.

- Dbx Quantum II mastering processor
- BBS mono and Stereo maximiser units
- Digital editing is performed with Reaper software (www.reaper.fm), plus we have 3 x UAD-2 dsp cards that offer amazing performance and brilliant results. We also have a good selection of VST pluggins from Stillwell.
We have a great selection of recording microphones, sound modules and outboard musical equipment like our Yamaha MOTIF ES, Pedulla MVP bass and various electric and acoustic guitars.
